Reinvention Canadian-Style

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s conservatives one a majority in national elections yesterday.  Impressive since many polls had him losing to a combination of liberal parties going into Monday’s election.

According to an MSNBC article published today, Harper is said to be “redefining what it is to be Canadian” with many changed policies.  Canada has mostly been associated with left-leaning politics and higher taxes.  But Harper’s conservative decisions have quietly steered the country successfully through the recent recession.  Canada has gotten back on its feet faster than many predicted.

Harper claims credit for the faster than expected recovery.

Apparently, Canadian voters are willing to give him credit and a greater majority in the House of Commons.

What are you redefining in a different world and economy?
