Johnny Cash made a brand for himself wearing black suits and matching shirts.  He even wrote a song about why he wore black.

He sang about the poor.  He sang about the oppressed.  He sang about prisoners.  He sang about those being persecuted. He sang about native Americans.  His music reached many people who felt out of control in their circumstances.

Cash became known as “The Man in Black.”  He became a crossover icon in the world of Country, Rock and Folk music.  Today people still remember Johnny Cash, The Man in Black.
